Antonia joined us in Sydney for the week of Chinese New Year, she needed to get away from minus 15C and smog in Beijing.  Sadly it rained everyday that she was in Sydney.  We still had fun and she was able to catch up with her Australian friends.  It also happened to be Australia Day that week so we headed out to spend the day watching the festivities in the harbour.  Because of the weather there were not as many yachts and boats out.  We watched the Ferry race from a distance and then set off to anchor off a park and listen to Jazz for the evening, more fun was had watching some people on a yacht who were trying to anchor in amongst all the other yachts and consequently dragged up several other anchors and started towing the other boats behind them!! fortunately they did not get ours the Marine police sorted them all out in the end but a bit like trying to undo knitting.

We spent the following week up in Pittwater again and had Chris and Sue Bonsall on board for a night so that we could all go to the Cottage Point Restaurant where we were able to pick up a buoy right outside the restaurant in Pittwater.  Fortunately the day they were with us was lovely, sunny and calm as the following day it poured with rain.  We spent more time exploring the various inlets of Pittwater and then headed back to Sydney to prepare Aqualuna for her sail across to New Zealand.
