Why did the assymetric rip? well a certain person was attending to his
fishing lines just at the wrong moment instead of looking after the sheet,
or deligating somebody to do it whilst he wad otherwise occupied. Never
mind, having found that we are trekking along but keeping far too far north
overnight, we have rigged up the solent gib and Genoa goose winged with
poles. Now we are heading further south going with the waves and wind and
averageing 8-9 knots with occasional fast runs down a wave.

We decided not to have a tasting of two different types of fish yesterday
just had the small tuna for lunch as sashimi along with salads amd cheeses.
Too rough to do the steaks on the BBQ last night so did them on the griddle
on top of the oven, along with ratatoulle and new potatoes. Tonight I will
cook the Dorado in breadcumbs and lemon, with green beans and potatoes. Ex
Exe does not eat fish so will give him the remains of the bolognaise. Had to
dismantle the hammock over our aft bunk last night as we kept being
bombarded by plums, mangoes, advocados and pomegranates so all in boxes on
the galley surface for the moment; have decided hammocks are not a great way
of keeping fruit and veg when we are moving around so much, turning them
every day to try to stop mould buliding up. Amazing how one starts to focus
on food so much when on long journeys at sea.

Still quite cool especially at night but slowly becoming warmer. We have to
call in our position at midday everyday via email to Cowes and also give a
verbal positon of the midday one at 3p.m when the yacht coordinating our
group calls in, we also have to let them know how many engine hours we have
used. So far we have only used 43 mins on our first day; have noticed many
yachts have used 4 hours engine time already, still a long way to go and
anything can happen.

So the Aqualunies keep rocking and rolling along, love from us all.
