EASTER DAY! Sunday, 4th April, 2010
HAPPY EASTER EVERYBODY!!
We caught a fish, at last, that one can eat, a 15lb Blue Fin Tuna, the best!  Allan realed it in, I was having a siesta, as was Charles, when suddenly there was hammering on my cabin hatch, so flew up on deck, half asleep still, took wheel to bring yacht up into wind to slow her down to 0.0, big very rough waves but the adreneline run kicked in and it was fun, meanwhile Charles, also awoken from his sleep, wound in the genny.  Allan and Jonathan on both lines, J lost his fish, so just Allan was able to real in his fish.  Had delicious sashumi for lunch yesterday, and tuna fillet steaks for supper with a mild thai dressing I made up.  All that was the day before yesterday.  Last night we had ceviche, made with a small Dorado we caught, as a starter before steak, veg and potatoes.  I was going to do a leg of lamb for Easter Dinner tonight, but we have so much lovely Tuna I will do tuna fillets crusted with sesame seeds on a bed of mashed potato with onion and wasabi mashed in with it.  I am making an Easter Choclolate cake for tea.  Now we have run out of bought bread I am back to bread making each morning and getting better at it.
We have now made 1,257 miles on the log since we left a week ago last Sunday.  We had a couple of days where we made over 200 miles in 24 hours which was good.  We hope to make the half way mark tomorrow.  The sun is out today between the clouds, the average wind speed is 15 - 25 knots and we are humming along.
N o more news now will write again in a day or two.
