It's neck and neck. We have a Swan 55 and an Oyster 56 on our heels (they are
in the same class) They had taken a more southerly route and now as we get
closer to St. Lucia we are begining to converge.

We had our delayed pool cocktail party last night; problem was we were in a
rougher sea so the water in the pool slopped which caused huge angst with Ex
Exe as he had just had a shower and didn't want to get wet again, he is so
pristine......

I don't know if the boys really appreciated the ducks that light up and
change colour as they float around in the pool either. In the end I decided
to get in. It was lovely just like a warm bath with a wave effect, the
first time I had used it as a bath and not just for washing salt out of
ropes. The rum cocktails which Jonathan made went down very well, all dressed
up with orange slices.

I have to confess having read through yesterdays blog I notice I had typed
STAKE instead of Steak, I know I am mildly dyslexic but even I know how it
should be spelt, so no angst from my sisters-in-law please!

Yesterday afternoon was bliss lying on the aft deck, sunbathing tucking into
a good book. We have managed not to put on the engine again, have headed a
little further south on a broad reach but the sea and wind was all over the
place; we are making good tracks now running with the wind with solent and
genoa poled out.

The sky last night after the rain and thuderstroms had passed was
incredible, I hadn't seen it like that since we were on safari in S. Africa,
what we miss now with so much light pollution.

For those who are interested last night for dinner we had Coq au Vin wth new
potatoes and greens. Still no more fish caught, there were three strikes on
a line but nothing hooked on.

Love from all the Aqualunies xx
