We spent everyday in Brisbane cleaning and sorting the yacht. We have discovered lots of areas which are very wet behind the lining in the forward cabin making the curtains soaking wet and down through both chain plates of the mast stays, very frustrating and annoying. We also had the riggers in to look at our mast stays as one was noticeably unravelling, the rest have been checked and they are also a big problem so it looks as though we are going to need a new rig for the yacht all just as we are forking out money for our son's wedding!! Looks as though I won't be getting the new bathroom for our house now!

We did manage a weekend in Noosa with Maggie and Rob staying at their house on the lagoon, it was beautiful and the Jazz was fantastic. Noosa was full of people and a very chic place to be with great restaurants.

We flew out of Brisbane yesterday for Singapore and are staying with Jane and Philip Woods. We had a terrible time at Brisbane airport, very officious people, very, very strict on the weight of hand luggage, which is the first time that has happened for us. Fortunately the Quantos desk gave us permission to take it on the plane, but still were delayed by the ...... female at the hand luggage check through asking us all sorts of questions she was not a nice person and has really put me off Brisbane airport, it was unnecessary and officious, the bag was the right size and I could lift it but it was over 6Ks.

Have just had a lovely day with Jane, the boys went off to look at Marinas on behalf of BWR, shopping. Tomorrow we will go to the Botanical gardens which are amazing. Also meeting up with Roman, my 2nd cousin, and his children tomorrow night for pepper and chilli crab.
