Day 5 (2/6) – A busy day! After motoring throughout the night, first light brought a modicum of a breeze from the west – sufficient to once again fly the asymmetric. Breakfast of fresh grapefruit and newly bread (toast) set up the day nicely. Rigging check walkabout to be done. Time for noon day sighting and sextant practice. Not too bad for longitude, although latitude put us a few degrees back to the Azores, hopefully not! In fact, half way had slipped by in the night and course ordered changed as we reached the top of the great circle arc routing. After lunch, fishing was decided upon for the afternoon – a chance to add to the fish pie on the menu…some hope! Nevertheless, worth a try…
