Early start before dawn - trying to get running miles in before meeting Di on the bike to add more miles! Across Amelia Island, alongside creeks,white Egrets fishing, rabbits abounding the deserted tracks through to the golden beach and back. Breakfast at a street side cafe in town, time to relax on the boat and then to the local museum for an hour long history of the Island's many flags (8 in total) over the years - ranging from French (Huguenots), Spanish (Mendez from St Augustine), English, a type of Scottish (McGregor), and several American / Union versions - all very interesting! Lunch at "The Patio", dinner and bubbly on the boat as the sun sets over the Ameila River - rounds off another good day in Fernandina Beach.
