At last we made the North West Providence Passage
before dawn - decided to pass West End and Freeport in order to enter
Port Lucaya in daylight and approaching high tide (even so the entrance was
less than 6'6" - our minimum depth! Nevertheless, a pretty marina - a
lively (noisy) slip next to the central square band-stand – all we needed after
an exhausting 2 nights at sea and little sleep! First, an afternoon’s rest by
the local hotel pool, some laundry done, boat tidying and then an evening
listening to the local music and watching the entertainers ... did we want to
sleep - yes - but not a problem despite the music with we were both thoroughly
exhausted!
