Day 5 - Bahamas Cruising (Bimini Resort World Marina)

The
wind continued to howl in the rigging overnight and as dawn broke - shifting
slightly to the north-east. Still too choppy (in the marina) to try our Mini
Magic 2 - so a few boat jobs - a new port wheel instrument fitted and some
stainless cleaning passed the morning away. A little less wind in the afternoon
so a chance to get out and do a run/bike over the island's one road - back into
and through Alice Town to check if the museum was finally open: we were in
luck. Just a single floor of photographs (mostly Hemmingway and his fishing
exploits) - but an interesting browse. Then up to the beach bar for a local
"Kalik" (beer) - just as we had done a little less than 12 months ago. Run/bike
back to complete a 5 mile round trip. Definitely a call on the hot tub. Skype
with Annelise. Bed early for our onward journey on the morning
tide. Phil and Di |
