Just under 1,500 miles after leaving Atlanta (and a few extra days) we are back on-board Magic Friday! Having taken a "small" detour north to Niagara Falls ON (Canada), before turning east on the highways to Beverly MA! What a sight - 600,000 US gallons a second pouring over the Falls, enough to fill a million bathtubs every minute! The rate of erosion is such that 12,000 years ago the Falls were 7 miles further downstream, but thanks to overnight water management (diverting water from the Niagara River to US and Canadian power stations) the erosion has been reduced to 1ft every 3 years - so still a few more thousands of years before they disappear entirely!
All is well on the boat. Unpacked and ready to rest after the long road journey.
