Morning light - more storms approaching but the wind had veered to the west (forecast for Saturday) - so decision to head south along the Little Bahama Bank - several thunderstorms later (and more high winds) we were making good way throughout the day. Overnight flying fish found on the deck (I knew there was a fishy smell!). Waves of 12-15ft and persistent 30knot winds kept us busy as darkness approached. Then Di spots a life raft 200 yards abeam - large, trailing white light. Calls to nearby shipping to alert a search and relay the message of position to the U.S. coast guard. a northbound cargo vessel  answer the call - all information given to them. Weather and wave conditions precluded us to search further but the cargo vessel reported making two passes - we confirmed we could be of no further assistance and stood down. We battled on to reach the passage way entrance to the Bahamas - and calmer water in the early morning.
