Day 14 - Bahama Cruising (Nassau Yacht Haven Marina - Providence Island)

Time
to set sail and head back for Nassau - the long awaited boat part (for the still
un-repaired head) hopefully awaits us in Nassau. Early to start to time high
tide for the eastern entrance to the Nassau harbour - we set full sails
with a 10-12kn wind over the stern. Missing the ability to pole-out the
genoa the jib does her best and we gently sail under the blue skies and
lime-green seas over Yellow Bank - seeing depths of less than 1.5m below the
keel this time as we dodged the dark patches of potential rocks and coral
heads! Into Nassau harbour and tied up at the marina (same slip as before)
we rushed to the marina office - yes a parcel had been attempted to be delivered
BUT duty and tax were payable so it was returned to the delivery office in
our absence! Too late to sort out we settled back for a pizza and movie ready to
chase it down on the morning. Phil and Di |
