As forecast - a blustery, thunderstorm day - gusting 25-30kn (in the marina), Magic Friday healing to port (but well secured to the dock), Bimini folded away, hatches securely closed to stay dry. Jobs for indoors! Dashes to the laundry in between rain showers for Di and my task to get on with fitting the shunt were the order of the day. And what a task! Fitting the shut beside the battery was easy, deeding the monitor cable under the soles, through existing cable slots (under the galley on starboard and under the head flooring on port was something else - the long spring cable, the short spring grab tool and pieces of string were well used!! However, patience and persistence prevailed - by the end of the day the cable was on the port side, coiled ready to complete the job tomorrow.
Then the e-mail on the long running saga for "C" insurance - we now had to fill in a daily itinerary for our 14 day visit!! A quick review of the "C" guide books, some passage planning and it was done, signed, scanned and returned - is that the end? Once again, we'll see!
A beer and backgammon to celebrate, dinner and another Doc martin episode - we seem to be getting hooked on this series now!!
