Day 6 (14/5) - The early part of last night was spent hunting for wind. An hour of sails flogging and going nowhere (with 1,650nm still to do) - decision taken to use some diesel and motor south in searching of the westerly's (again). Within 10nm we were in luck - a fresh 10-15kn west wind, sails rigged and back on course. A night of helming under heavy clouds and lightening with yet more rain . ! A reluctant dawn crept over the horizon to greet another grey day. A glimpse of sunshine (first time in 4 days) shed some warmth over the seascape. Freshening winds kept us all busy on the helm, turning southerly as the day wore on. A chance for a Moroccan style meal with couscous to end the day!
