A reasonable night, still on anchor position, despite the winds. All quiet as the sun rose over the oak trees of Cumberland Island. Time to go for a ride in the tender along the Island shore. More evidence of hurricane damage to the ferry jetties and a landing dock hut roof to be re-built. Higher up the creek, some nice private houses tucked in amongst the trees. A new discovery for us - not having progressed so far up the creek before. The houses belong to the residents who agreed to turn the Island over to the park authorities but kept residence rights - what a remote place to live (except in times of hurricanes)!! All was with the tender and outboard - "chucking" along nicely. Homemade pizza evening and a movie for a change. Readying to leave on the tide tomorrow.
