The longest day dawns .. plenty of time to troubleshoot the primer pump of the water-maker!
First a call to a Cathelco (Seafresh) technical engineer in the U.K. - very helpful and will retrieve the file they hold on the fitting for Magic Friday and revert back to me with suggestions as to why no power on the pump - despite the fuses (6A and 20A) all good, swapping the HP pump relay (which has power) with the primer pump relay and even re-wiring the control box - no power on the primer circuit! Baffling! Moving on to strip the wet end of the primer pump down - very clearly the drive shaft seal had gone, leaking sea-water back into the motor components - doubtful the motor will work again. Will need to discuss further with Cathelco!
Time to take a break, get the bike out and run/bike to the local super-market, just a couple of miles down the road, following the riverside. A pleasant break from pondering the primer pump power!!
As the sun finally sets on the longest day, dinner on-board and an evening relax.
