Day 10 (18/5) - We finally got the westerly winds around mid-day yesterday and were able to resume an easterly course. Noting the forecast of some heavy winds coming up from the south west by late tomorrow we pushed hard into the evening and night to get clear of the heavier weather. Worked on trouble shooting a few problems throughout the afternoon. A full moon lit the night as it traced an arc across the sky on a warm cloudless night, only a few planets able to outshine the moon. Good mileage covered although winds dropped this morning. A good time for pancakes and sausage breakfast - after all it is Saturday! Two west bound cargo ships side by-side allowed us room to "squeeze" through the middle (actually 5nm apart)! Fresh water tanks topped up as we continued motoring east under a blue sky.
Position posting at 09:00 Mid-Atlantic time (GMT-3hrs) 18/5
