It is great to be back out at sea again in such fantastic sailing conditions......
We left the dock at 05.45 this morning on the start of our passage to Antigua approx. 2650nm. It has been a mixed day weather wise, probably influenced by our proximity to the Canary Islands, but generally we have been sailing downwind with a poled out genoa and main at good speeds in winds of around 22kts from the NNE. The boat has been behaving very well in these conditions and reaching some high numbers on the speed dial. Today has been about settling into a watch system and getting used to being out here again. We are leaving the Islands behind - next landfall Antigua!
