Day 4 - Bahamas Cruising (Bimini Resort World Marina)

25:45.7N
79:16.6W
A less than quiet night – despite being tied up on a slip at the marina! The wind strengthened, the mooring lines strained and Magic Friday heeled...at the dock!! So, at 05:30 when we "thought it was time to check the mooring lines ... then it was time to check the mooring lines". An extra line added and all was well. As daylight broke the wind tore across the marina at 25+ knots - the deck chairs and poolside equipment were scattered across the resort - not many swimmers this morning! Even a sleek tri-mast schooner had difficulty coming along side to dock in the prevailing wind. Job
of the day - unpack, inflate and launch "Mini Magic 2" - and a splendid tender
it is as well. The 12v air pump worked perfectly (saving a lot of leg and foot
exercise)! Named and launched! Followed
by a 5 mile walk along the beach to North Rock as the Atlantic waves crashing
onto the sand and rocks sending surf and spray into the wind.
No
change to the restaurant openings (all closed), so back on the boat for dinner.
Just
another perfect Monday.....except the wind persisted - howling around the mast
into the darkness once more. At least we knew we were secured
tied!
