Clear blue sky morning - ready to go ashore - outboard on the tender but oh....petrol (gas) pouring out of the carburetor each time the fuel switch
is turned on! Only clue as to what this problem might be is a stuck float - so no chance of starting the outboard to "put-put" over to the Island today
(tide and wind too strong to row). So - to other boat fixes: the starboard power winch deck switch - to replace. A little difficult to get the old one
out (a lot of sealant / glue had been used), but once out, electrics changed, new one installed (with sealant only) - and fully working! Spray
hood pocket stitched - a god day all round. Deciding to stay another day and row ashore at the turn of the tide - out came the bbq - once again dodging the thunderstorms - although we had to eat inside - a pleasant evening!
