Day 9 (17/5) - Sea hawks, sharks and sunsets ended yesterday - actually one of each but interesting sightings. The sea hawk circled the boat several times and investigated the tow generator propeller (which happened to have caught some fishing net and line). The shark took a bite at the generator prop itself (teeth marks evident when pulled in and inspected). The sunset was as always a spectacular sight at sea. Sailing was good throughout the day until the Azores high came upon us. Faced with headwinds if we motored east we choose to search for the westerly winds in the south. Some sailing, some motoring throughout the night but very little wind to set the sails. Looks like a day waiting for the westerly's to return.
