The main shopping street and one use for the Fire Brigade

Interesting architecture and street decoration

Admiring an engine in the maritime museum

Apparently there are only 2 genuine Jolly Roger flags which were actually used by pirates and this is one of them!

The saloon from the Herzogin Cecilie, which was salvaged from the wreck off Salcombe and used by members of ABBA in their home before its donation to the museum

This building was funded by Aland Rotary Club and houses various old boats. This one used to have a light on and serve as a navigation mark

Unfortunately it now screens this active light from seawards!

This is part of a traditional boatbuilding project aiming to preserve old skills

This building wasn’t quite long enough though

There wasn’t a lot of activity

The hot bulb engine museum and one that wasn’t

Only traditional boats are allowed in this harbour

A different sort of cruising activity for the cruise ship passengers we had seen coming in beside the Pommern
