Norwalk to Sachem Head
Our position is: 41:15.137N 72:42.904W When we finally dragged ourselves away from the comforts of Rex Marine and South Norwalk it was with the intention of heading for Buzzards Bay and the town of Marion in Sippican Harbour, in a series of equal sailing days. Consequently our destination for the day was merely a convenient anchorage along the way. Joshua Cove, off Sachem Head, was a delightful, quiet spot, with only one other boat at anchor. Again the passage suffered from very variable wind strengths and required more use of the engine than we really wanted. A thunderstorm was threatened for the afternoon and then the evening as we monitored the weather forecasts but fortunately nothing materialised and our nights rest was undisturbed.
An uneventful passage with few photo opportunities but a cross section of other water users
