Thursday 31st May.
I now had two weeks left before Kay returns and the
NHFII cruise starts at Annapolis, which was plenty of time to get maintenance
done and Moorglade looking a bit smarter. Two years of cruising with little time
for t.l.c. was starting to show.
My first stop was in Mill Creek at the mouth of the
Great Wicomico. Storms were forecast for Saturday night, with strong SE
winds,so I chose a sheltered spot well up the creek on the South side. It
was very sheltered and very peaceful. When the storm came the winds were not
exceptional but the lightning and thunder were quite spectacular.
It was such a pleasant spot I stayed there until
the need for supplies made it necessary to move to a more commercial
harbour.

tranquil
![]() ![]() My only visitor. I've no idea how he got into the
cockpit.
I'm not sure what he was saying but that is often the case here.
