Midday weather and sea.  Sunny, some high cloud 25.2C sea state low swell with quite choppy waves.

We are now settling into routines of sleep eat and watchkeeping, broken by the occasional malfunction. So far all fixable. Yesterday it was the laptop refusing to connect to the Iridium modem, which may have resulted in a temporary blog from Kay, before I'd sorted the issue. Then the toilet blocked which some pretty smelly work in the heads and the cockpit locker, where the valves are, before it was finally fixed with a length of rigging wire with suitably spayed ends fed down the pipe whiles being spun by the battery drill. The last user of the heads before blockage will not be named but he has been issued with Ducolax. This mornings problem was when the Aries servo paddle recovery string frayed through and wrapped around the Duogen propeller. The fix require hanging off the transom boarding ladder with a sharp knife while Jim hauled up the entangled parts to just within reach. Pleased to say no damage done and both units working well again.
This afternoons focus will be preparing for the strong winds no doubt with heavy rain due tonight and tomorrow. We have been making a more southerly track today so we can free off under small sails as the wind comes through from SW and tending to back.

The crew and boat are in good shape but after tomorrow we would like a bit of easy sailing and sunny weather. We shall see.
