Moorglade's Voyage

We were not flying home until the Monday so we spent Sunday preparing the boat to leave and having a look round.  Opposite the marina there was a museum devoted to activities based on and under the water. The information board outside seduced us in with an English translation but once inside all the displays were only in German so sometimes it was a bit of a struggle to work out what we were looking at.

This boat was living up to its name by going at maximum speed to catch up to the back of the queue of boats going through the bridge. We weren’t sure they would make it but fortunately a trimaran was trying to sail through and got a bit stuck so the delay this caused gave them a chance.

In the evening Antje and her husband Karsten called round after being out in their boat for the day and we shared a beer with them as a thank you for their help. It was interesting discussing the changes they had experienced (or not) since the German reunification. We have had such great help from the CA HLRs during the cruise to date and they are all volunteers doing it purely altruistically. They really are a major asset for the Association and it is so hard to repay their generosity.
