135.7 miles left of the ICW
Well if the rest of the ICW is going to be like
today, I'm looking forward to mile zero. The terrain was mostly wide rivers,
and, as they were generally adequately deep, the buoyage was quite sparse. The
only real interest was guessing just how close Another Adventure was going to
cut the corners. Aptly named sail boat. However it was the weather that spoiled
the day. Overcast was as good as it got, but that seemed welcome after
torrential rain and strongish cold winds always forward of the
beam.
The redeeming feature was having Another Adventure
for company, but I declined their invitation for cocktails after we had
anchored as it was not the evening for dinghying about. Better to warm up
the cabin by cooking an evening meal, listen to music with the wind humming
in the rigging, type a blog and prepare for tomorrow. Fingers crossed for better
weather.
