Completion of a circuit

Our position is 54:34.820N 11:55.305E Distance covered 74Nm Because of the forecasts we needed to push on so opted for a long passage to Gedser in Denmark, where we had been before on the 26 June after another longish passage. The sea was quite rolly and a pan pan came on the radio for a dismasted 26 ft yacht to the west of us, but it was recovered by a ship that was much closer than us.
First sights of Denmark – the white cliffs of Mon
We saw quite a bit of shipping and, as usual, ferries were plentiful. As we entered the channel up to Gedser a ferry decided to come out and it was quite crowded as we were also being harassed by a German yacht. Later we were able to pass him as he was unable to get his main down. This was fortuitous as desirable spots in the harbour were few and far between. This was a contrast to our previous visit, when it had been practically empty. The vicious cross wind made getting into the box tricky, particularly as we had hoped to tie up alongside, as we had before.
