After a couple of hours of engine running the wind picked up somewhat and we resumed running under main and cruising chute through the night and to noon today on a direct track to Barbados. We made reasonable speed with a few quiet spells and some squalls and were dissapointed not to break the 300 mile barrier despite Teds heroic efforts on the cruising chute sheet.

Nevertheless the winds are forecast to remain as is or even improve so we have high hopes of making Barbados late Sunday evening. NB local time gives us 5 extra hours of running!

Shipboard life continues with nothing exceptional to report. The sunshade is up and life on board is really quiet pleasant.
