After sorting the mooring, the museum and a bit of shopping we left our irritating mooring ball at 12:15. It was a good time to go, close to high water and time enough to do the 20Nm passage to the Annisquam. Our intention was to pick up one of the Annisquam Yacht Club moorings but after an easy reach down the coast under headsail when we motored into the river and hailed the club they had none vacant, so we pressed on against the last of the ebb, despite the very low spring tide. Careful pilotage and a watchful eye on the echosounder got us under the road bridge and through the narrow railway bridge, as far as Cape Ann Marina. They had a space for us on their face dock, which was and easy moor, especially as a small team of helpers were there to take our dock lines. It proved to be a very pleasant stay, we had dinner in the bar which we finished before the live band got going. We stayed to listen to a couple of their jazzy numbers before retiring. In the morning Kay took advantage of the swimming pool and we popped into the local store for bread and then left late in the morning for Salem.

Worrying when people are walking beside their dinghy                               You have no idea what is coming the other way at the rail bridge

Not much room for the mast                                                  Tied up at Cape Ann Marina
