Scituate was the obvious choice to split the passage to Boston. the other ports are either shallow and difficult to enter or rather a long way in and out again for a one night stop. It turned out to be a very pleasant harbour.
We left Sandwich at 11:00 after filling up with both water and diesel. The weather was much better, the light overcast soon cleared, with a the promise of a sailing breeze.
Scituate was easy to enter, and the girl in the yacht club launch showed us to a suitable mooring ball in the busy harbour.
We went ashore for a walk round the bay to the lighthouse. I guess the property is nearly all holiday homes.
Ate back on board.
