Rendezvous in Muros

The Ria de Muros seemed like a decent meeting spot, about 45 miles north of us. So on 5.8.20 we slipped our lines in Punta Lagoa and slid down the Ria to anchor once again in Barra, ready for an early start the next day, for the upwind sail to Muros.
In the event, the wind had other ideas, and our sail north started with a couple of hours motor sailing. Then the breeze filled in slightly, then stopped, but by 1600 the expected north westerly built in and the day finished with a fast close reach to the anchorage at Ensenada da Bornalle, to the east of the town of Muros.
Ruffian of Amble was easy to spot. Sporting pin stripes reminiscent of her forbear, Ruffian, she is a Westerly Oceanlord, in fine condition and ready, indeed started on a new adventure.

And so, a natural law came into play; wherever there are 3 crews, the implication here is that they are British crews, then a social gathering shall take place.
This being 2020, the gatherings were regulated, open air and socially distanced. But over the next week or so, at least 2 gatherings took place in the cockpits of each of Persephone, Ruffian and Annie. No more need be said!
