Today has been a day of pretty good progress, marred only by the failure of the loo!  It seems that the slight issue with the pump, we thought we had resolved in Madeira, was in fact a precurser to a complete blockage today.  I have had the pump apart several times, replacing all the seals, valves and flaps, all to no avail. Something has entered the system unbeknown to us, and the full forensic strip down will have to wait until we get to Gib.

Otherwise, the sailing has been good, mostly sunny, if a litle chilly in the breeze.  This evening, the expected right shift has started to make itself felt and we are sailing the rhumb line close hauled...ish.

Tonight, from the galley, we have just enjoyed meatballs and tomato sauce on a bed of penne.

All well.
