Today has been a day of alleviating conditions. the wind has dropped off a little since the 22 to 25 knots we had last night and we are close reaching along at 7.5 knots in around 17 knots of wind.

We have kept the same small sail plan and are expectiing the lumpy confused sea to stabilise in the next 24 hours.

We hope to reach the half way point of this trip around midnight tonight, which is 0400 UTC tomorrow, Saturday.

Karen is still suffering from mal de mer but has at least eaten something today.

Lots of spray is showing up some little maintenance jobs for Persephone when we get back...leaky saloon windows need not be a way of life and will need to be repaired...
