The weather was lovely, with 13 to 18 knots, but a lumpy Atlantic swell, and short waves. After a little over 17 hours we dropped anchor a tad before dawn here in Anguilla.
As it happens, they are celebrating Anguilla Day, as it is now 50 years since they ceceded from St Kitts and Nevis! We watched the start of the Round Anguilla race this morning as we enjoyed breakfast. The traditional boats set off on a running start off the beach and will return to a finish line just off the same beach later this afternoon.
Tim and Oli are still with us...we will return to St Martin tomorrow so they can get their flight back in the afternoon on Friday. Our minds will turn to preparation for the Atlantic again.
Hopefully, we will be setting off before the end of the first week in June....
