A little later than usual, this report, as I have been having a well deserved lie in. I say well deserved, but it was due to quite a lot of sailing action in the early hours.

We had a slow day yesterday, and as it was light wind, decided to keep the kite flying overnight. That went well enough during supper and even through a couple of hours of our regular film night.  Around midnight, we went on deck to take a look at things, and witnessed "the shift".  My head said gybe, and then lifejacket/harness, and while I was donning these bits of kit, we suffered the kite wrap from hell.

It was nearly 3 by the time we had sorted that little mess out....we even had to drop the main in the process and I never want to be mid Atlantic, in the pitch black, unwrapping a kite from the forestay again.

We gybed at first light, about 0930 and are now sailing under white sails straight at Barbados. So all has ended well.  The kite will go up again after breakfast...I don't think it got damaged in the process, but we'll see.

927 miles to go. Computer says 29th January arrival....next weekend!
