Thu 18 Apr 2013 18:31
It's half past two in the afternoon, on the second
day of our sail to Bermuda. The sun is shining, but already, with just over 180
miles under our belts, we can feel the effects of travelling north. Te sea
temperature is down by a degree or so, to 25 and the easterly wind is coooler
than that we had at the start of this voyage.
Karen has been feeling the effects of mal de mer
again as we are travelling side on to some fairly large waves, so it is a little
uncomfortable.
In 17 or 18 knots of wind, we have 2 reefs in
the mainsail and a No 2 genoa up. The rig is balanced annd pushing us along at
around 6.5 Knots.
Only 622 miles to go!....
Position is;
22 39.117N, 69 15.241W
We have just had some wraps with hummus and pepper
for a light lunch.
All well
