So here we are, reaching along towards Ushant after
our first night at sea. Current position is 49 13.222N 005
05.637W
Karen has been slightly uncomfortable, but not a
full blown mal de mer, and she has been able to stand watches overnight. It's a
lovely sunny day today with 13knots of north westerly breeze. We have a main and
number 2 genoa rigged and are sailing conservatively, and studying the westboud
ships as they pass us on their way to the Ushant Traffic Separation
Scheme.
Yesterday was not so much fun though as fog banks
enveloped us until we were some 30 miles off Start Point. We motored through
lack fo wind for about 6 hours, keeping a very keen watch.
Some sea life spotted...dolphins which didn't want
to play? or something else?
Today is Referendum day. We will likely find out
what the British People decided about Europe as we check in and clear customs in
Spain...likely to be on Saturday at the current pace.
Persephone's bow is cleaving the clear blue
water...Is she eager to get to warmer climes again?
