It is another beautifully sunny dawn, with 15 knots of breeze.

We carried the good old black heavyweight kite all day yesterday and all last night. In the early hours, we caught up with, then overhauled a 53 foot yacht called Ariel.She is another participant in the Atlantic Odyssey rally from Tenerife to Barbados.

As I write, she is about 2 miles away on our port quarter.

We will continue under spinaker today and then modulate our speed tonight to ensure we have daylight in which to navigate around the reef on the southern tip of Barbados.

All good here, with 270 miles to go.
