A fine end to a very pleasant days sailing.
Sunny, light winds, although the sea state remains rather lumpy.
We logged 139 miles for the 24 hours to 1500, the
reduction a factor of the much lighter breeze.
Our friends on Win2Win are out of VHF range now, so
we are communicating with them by email.
Sun tan lotion was deployed this afternoon. Our
reef in the mainsail has just been shaken out to assist in keeping our boatspeed
up overnight to keep the towing generator active and save us from using the
engine to charge.
So far, the engine has been on for under 90
minutes, since we hoisted sail at La Gomera.
Tonight, the galley is serving a penang chicken
curry, though we are still "dry". So some of our tank water will no doubt,
accompany our culinary treat.
Last night's film night was so successful, we might
try it again tonight. We are catching up with series 3 of "Homeland", and it's
gripping stuff!
The winds look set to be light going forward, and
perhaps we shall play with the spinnaker tomorrow.
All well
