Arrived Lisbon this morning. A good passage with
mostly moderate winds. We put up the gennaker when the winds were
light - its first outing for over 3 years. Shipping traffic was
minimal as we were inshore of the main route. We had to dodge a
few fishing boats: they always seem to find a good spot to fish
dead ahead of us... Entering the river Tagus we had to dodge a
few cruise ships coming in, including the Costa Fortuna. Like the
name. Now moored in the Marina Parque das Nacoes, 7 miles upriver
and a quiet spot with good facilities and links to the city
centre. |
