The distraction of writing a book is coming to an end - we hope.  Those of you who thought book-writing a good idea to keep us out of mischief will be disappointed to know that we teamed up with a professional writer to speed up the process!  It's been a great challenge and we've shed a few tears over the keyboard but it's coming together well.  Copies will be available in the UK from 1st September.  Skip the next image if you'd rather forget the whole thing:

We can now give more attention to Lynn Rival.  Apart from all the repairs and equipment that needs replacing, we're taking the opportunity to do some timely refurbishment.  We've stripped out most of the interior fittings and cleaned up the last reminders of pirate occupation.  Repairs to the mast and new rigging are in hand, with generous support from Spencer Rigging and local help from Atlantic Spars.  In the meantime they've repaired the stancions and supplied new guardwires so we can work safely on with the decks.

Paul is removing the deck fittings.  Next stage will be to remove the old teak and scrape off all the resin!
