Having completed most of the deck replacement
work we've now turned our attention to the interior. We had
already stripped out the heads fittings. Now we have dismantled
most of the woodwork and Paul is re-building the heads
compartments using Hi-Macs - a new material which promises to
provide a much better finish than formica. Rachel has been busy making templates for re-upholstery and preparing for refurbishment of the headlining, woodwork and so on - sometimes with help. Here is Helen demonstrating how to idle away a few hours sitting under the saloon table getting rust off the mast prop. (And Henry helping with dust extraction.)  We have lots to do and the task list is quite daunting so we're not planning any major breaks between now and June (our target launch date). That said, we'll be at the London Boat Show for book-signings at the Kelvin Hughes stand on the weekends of 7th/8th and 14/15th January. |
