I'm dreaming of a white Christmas!

Bob the Builder and Fireman Sam!

Just in case you thought we had missed out on the Volcanoes in Rotoroa, we were saving ourselves for PeeJay's tour of White Island.

The only active marine volcano and some say the most active volcano in NZ.

We walked around the crater of the volcano, we came really close to the noisey steam vents,
and the pools of bubbling mud.

This crater lake has formed since the 1997 eruption. Apparently the level and the colour can change dramatically, depending on the minerals dissolved inthe water, and the temperature.

Bloupp!

Land of The Short White Cloud.
