All going well and as planned, Cleared by 1100
yesterday and were
underway by 1145. Fetched down in 17/20 kts sse to Navula pass but had to tack the last 6 miles as it went southerly and 24 /26 kts true.Supper reach out of the pass and we did 7.5 to 8 kts all afternoon with 22 to 25 sse wind and sse shortish moderate swell with 1.5 waves . At dusk we put in second reef and furled the yankee and flew the staysail nice 6 to 7 kts all night.Catherine feeling the motion ,such a shame! Wind dropped and rose between 18 and 26 kts most of the night but now we have slightly lower swell and waves and still sse holding mainly around 17 to 20 kts doing 7 kts 0800 hrs position 17 deg 39 min S 175deg 21.9 E logged 138 mls todate av sp 6.25kts |
