After a week spent in Port Marin, Martinique, we have finally left the berth and came to anchor off Ste Anne, a lovely beach next to the Club Med.

We had a busy (and expensive!) week in Port Marin with engineers onboard everyday repairing the gib, a leak on the diesel injection pump and another on the water cooling system. We had a hard time finding the right people to do the job, got lucky for some, less lucky for another... Anyway, all is fixed and the boat is back together again.

Luckily, we like Martinique very much so it was not a real problem to get "stuck" in such a place. We hired a car for the week and toured round the south side of Fort de France. Pretty soft green sceneries, loads of valleys and meadows. We also like the fact that you find all the shops like in France which makes provisioning a joy! Delicious cheeses and a very good selection of wines.

Before leaving the berth this morning, Mike went to the market and I to the supermarket. So he got to chat to the lovely women in the market and I got to carry the wine... :-) BUT that's ok because he came back with a lovely bamboo vase and gorgeous flowers which he very ingeniously attached round the mast (see photo attached). It looks superb. Like on a Megayacht!!! Isn't he clever?

Mark and GULLIVER should join us tomorrow night from St Lucia and we will then slowly make our way together north towards Antigua.

Weather hot but quite windy today with short showers.

Hope you are all well. Keep on watching this space!
