Aimee, Richard and little Nim left us this morning after a wonderful few days spent onboard. We based ourselves in the marina because it was easier for Nim but had a lovely day trip sailing to Paradise Bay where Nim enjoyed the beach very much. We also did a little trip in the dinghy - or the lawnmower as Nim baptised it! - to the other side of the bay here in Opua where we found a beautiful private beach.

Nim settled very well in "her" little port cabin and she even helped with the washing up! (photos attached)

We went to Russel for lunch one day and to Keri Keri yesterday for a picnic in the park. We had a farewell dinner last night in Pahia in a restaurant that has a huge fish tank which kept Nim busy counting the fish.

It has been raining this morning and the forecast predicing high winds for the next day or two. We intended to leave tomorrow for Whangarei but as we would have to sail into head winds and uncomfortable seas we will delay our departure until Friday or Saturday.

Some photos attached of our marvellous time with Nim and her parents! It was sad to see them going this morning. Nim has adopted Mike as "GrandPa Mike". So sweet.

All well here....
