Result on the fishing exercise! Last night we
pulled a small tuna. Guess what's on the menu tonight then!
Beautiful day again today. Gentle Pacific swells
(10seconds intervals, 1.5m height), 10 to 14 kts of wind sometime dropping to
6kts. We move along gently. Luckily we have 2 knots of current with us. Our boat
speed is averaging only 5.5 kts but our speed over ground is about 7kts.
350 miles to go to the Galapagos.
We flew the spinnaker all daylight
hours yesterday and chickened out at night (Scutch, Ollie, Jamie you
remember what happened last time we had it up at night!!!) but with
the change of wind direction to South East it wasn't up today. Perhaps the
MPS will go up tomorrow if the wind stays in the same direction and
strength.
All is well onboard.
A demain
Love
Mike and Catherine
