We are off! We left our mooring at Balboa Yacht Club this morning at 9AM. En route to the Galapagos!

Carlos our lovely and efficient driver came onboard for a farewell dinner last night. He made our lives so much easier in Panama finding everything we needed.

Dozen of cargo ships around us at anchor waiting for a slot to transit through the canal.

Not much wind, about 6 kts. We are motorsailing at present but the engine will no doubt soon be switched off to save fuel.

We have been listening to the Pacific Net on SSB and have registered with them. Loads of other boats are on their way to the Galapagos so it will be nice to have daily contacts through the net.

Holger seems to have settled in and all is well.

Very hot and sunny.

Will keep a daily blog.

Love to all
Mike and Catherine
