The EJ's Voyage

We still need to be pinched to believe it. We are
in the Galapagos!
Quite a few boats around here but plenty of room
still. Seals are everywhere and can be a bit smelly! They are trying to climb on
the boat, dinghies and everything they can find. You also find them ashore on
the pavement!
The town is much bigger than according to the
cruising guide. We thought there would be only 1 or 2 street and that's it.
There are quite a few internet places, lots of tourists shops with fun T-shirts,
quite a few grocery stores. I saw cabbage, cauliflowers and broccoli, eggs and
dry food.
Customs, agriculture, immigration etc formalities
are a bit tedious. They all come onboard and fill papers. The agriculture guy
inspects every cupboards and every piece of veg and fruit! They are all quite
pleasant though.
We are sorting the boat out this morning: putting
the big awning on to protect us from the sun and rain showers, cleaning inside
etc. Mike has to dismantle the watermaker because the salt water intake is
leaking.
It is so different here. We will need one or two
day to really take it in and then decide what to visit and where to
go.
All is well under the very hot sun.
Love
